Whenua Haumako Wrap, Māhoe

$41.50

The Aho Pēpi Muslin Wrap is made from 100% organic cotton that is soft on your baby’s skin. This natural fibre is lightweight and naturally breathable for pēpis’ comfort.

He Whenua Haumako Wrap, meaning, a fertile land.
Haumako means to be rich, fertile, productive. The word Whenua is the same for both the placenta of our pēpi and our land or ground.
Within te ao Māori metaphors abound and the relationship and symbiosis between us, humans, and our whenua, lands and soils is inescapable. We are the whenua and the whenua is us.

The colour, Māhoe, is a soft blue/purple. Reminiscent of the colour of the berries of the Māhoe, or for a more urban comparison, think of the colour of a blue biro pen.
The wrap can also be used as a shade cover over the pram while you’re out and about, over your shoulder while feeding your little one or as a light blanket.

Designed in Aotearoa.
Made in India.
For your pēpi.
