Fabric Care and Information

Our fabrics are made from organic and sustainable natural fibres. In their production we work with a team in India who practice fair trade and kaitiakitanga (stewardship), ensuring that the process is sustainable for both the whenua (lands and environments), and the people who grow and develop the materials.

The materials are dyed with certified non-toxic dyes and the water used in the process is recirculated within a closed loop processing plant. To learn more about the whakapapa of our cotton, from seed to finishing, you can see the journey here.

Our current collection of 85% Organic Cotton and 15% Flax Linen is woven, texturised, dyed and printed exclusively for us using our own exclusive designs.

How to care for your fabric:

Fabric is precious. We've put together a few guidelines to help you care for your new purchase.

It's a good idea to pre-wash any washable natural fibres that you will be washing in the future, as some shrinkage may occur. We recommend pre-washing in the same way you intend to wash your future fabric creation including drying.

Wash light and bright colours separately, as some colours may run in their first few washes.

Do not bleach.

In Aotearoa our UV rays are harsh and will damage any textiles left exposed for long durations. We recommend you line dry in the shade.
