Auaha
1. (verb) (-hia,-ngia,-tia) to shape, create, form, fashion.
Aho Auaha is our first venture into developing our textiles to make them available for makers to shape, create, form and fashion.
After many years of requests from Weavers wishing to use our fabrics to line kete, store kākāhu, from whānau wishing to use our fabrics to wrap taonga and koha, to create taonga and kakahu of their own, we've finally taken the leap.
It is our belief that making and creating is an expression of self determination, an act of rangatiratanga and an innate way we express ourselves.
And so we present the first of its kind. Organic, fairly-traded, sustainably-sourced natural fibre textiles printed with designs that speak of whakapapa and te ao Māori.
It's our dream that you will use these textiles to express the mana of our cultural inheritances, to express yourself and to lift up our creative expressions and normalise them in every context you'd find fabrics.

The little things.
As they say, 'Ahakoa he iti, he pounamu', -although it is small, it is precious.
The Aho Iti collection is where we play with fun little add-ons. Mostly they're born out of an idea that we've been playing with in our own whānau, and thought you might be interested too. These are likely short term projects that will ebb and flow as we see how they go!
