Te Piringa Wrap, Kārikiōrangi

$42.00

The Aho Pēpi Muslin Wrap is made from 100% organic cotton that is soft on your baby’s skin. This natural fibre is lightweight and naturally breathable for pēpis’ comfort.

The Te Piringa wrap derives its name and inspiration from the traditions of pattern and adornment that grace our whare tūpuna (ancestral meeting houses); kōwhaiwhai, tukutuku and whakairo. A Piringa is a shelter, hiding place, haven or refuge.

Woven together by the threads of your whakapapa and adorned by the patterns of your tūpuna. Ko koe te kanohi ora ō rātou. You are the living face of your tūpuna.

In these threads, relationships, connections, is your refuge. A haven.

The wrap can also be used as a shade cover over the pram while you’re out and about, over your shoulder while feeding your little one or as a light blanket.

Designed in Aotearoa.
Made in India.
For your pēpi.

Beautiful x

I purchased this wrap 4 years ago for my son and fell in love, so have since purchased them as special gifts for Whānau and friends. I’m not getting ready to use mine for my new pēpi, which is still in perfect condition after many uses and washes. Highly highly recommend!
